Job Summary:
Sterling Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Team Lead, Physical Records Management to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will oversee the classification, retention, and organization of physical records, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in records management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the classification, retention, and organization of physical records.
  • Conduct legal research to determine retention values and update retention schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve information access and security.
  • Lead and mentor a team of records officers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure compliance with international records management standards and CBN regulations.
  • Develop and implement recordkeeping methodologies and indexing systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in records management processes and practices.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Library Science, Information Resource Management, History, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in records or information management.
  • Knowledge of CBN regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring teams.
