Job Title: Team Lead, Aviation and Maritime

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • This role is tailor-made for candidates passionate about corporate banking, with expertise in aviation finance, Blue Ocean Economy including maritime and shipping finance.
  • The successful candidate will develop and manage a portfolio of high-value corporate clients, drive business development, and deliver innovative financial solutions, including high quality loans, treasury products, and trade finance services.

Job Details

  • Business Development: Develop new businesses by introducing clients in the aviation, shipping and other maritime businesses.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage and grow relationships with clients in the aviation, shipping and other maritime businesses.
  • Credit and Risk Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial modeling, credit application reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver end-to-end financial solutions.
  • Deal Structuring & Execution: Originate and execute complex deals, including asset-backed financing.
  • Cross-Selling Financial Solutions: Promote treasury products, trade finance, and investment banking services to clients.
  • Any other profitable businesses within the defined target markets of the bank

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines
  • MBA or MSc. in related relevant disciplines and Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) is required
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in corporate banking, with expertise in aviation and shipping and other maritime finance.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, multitasking abilities, and experience in handling complex loans and cross-border solutions.
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Good communication skills.
  • Candidate with a proven track record in credit structuring, deal origination, and client portfolio management
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English to liaise with international stakeholders within the sectors.
