We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Store Officer

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Track and record the availability of engineering items, including pumps, agitators, gearboxes, valves, and electrical components.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and segregation of hazardous materials as per safety guidelines.

Material Handling & Logistics:

  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of materials and equipment, including screw feeders, drum handlers, lump breakers, and instrumentation items.
  • Supervise the dispatch and delivery process, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Coordinate the movement of vehicles such as trucks, forklifts, bulk matrix delivery vehicles, and SINO trucks.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals and operating heavy equipment.
  • Monitor adherence to environmental regulations and guidelines for hazardous material storage and disposal.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate risks in storage and material handling processes.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Maintain an organized and efficient store layout for easy retrieval and inventory management.
  • Implement and optimize inventory control systems to minimize wastage and reduce costs.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, material movements, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare periodic inventory and compliance reports for management review.

Team Leadership & Training:

  • Supervise and guide store staff, including their training on safety procedures and operational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Materials Management, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in hazardous material handling or safety management is preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in store management, preferably in chemical manufacturing or similar industries handling hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
  • Awareness of environmental, health, and safety regulations related to hazardous material storage and handling.
