Job Description
- Responsible to ensure relevant SHE resources and personnel are deployed to provide day-to-day support to departmental requirements.
- Coordinating SHE activities, within the area of responsibility and report as required to the SHE manager, performance, incidents and accidents and progress against sectional and factory targets.
Responsibilities
- Assist Safety Manager in the coordination of SHE Management Systems in the plant, head office and external warehouses in line with the company’s acceptable standards, OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 EMS
- AssistSafetymanager in working with HODs and administrative teams to identify occupational and environmental hazards and to introduce suitable controls in the offices and warehouses.
- Assist theSafetymanager in the communication of all relevant Local/organizational SHE standards to employees, contractors and visitors.
- Identify and support in implementing SHE program at the plant, head office, warehouses and contractor management.
- Assist theSafetymanager in coordinating hazard spotting, near-misses and report of unsafe act in the workplace.
- Follow up on agreed control measures to ensure safe work practices.
- Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials across the plant, offices and external warehouses.
Requirements
- A minimum of B.Sc / HND in Engineering, Sciences / Humanities.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience is a MUST
- Membership/registration of ISPON (Institute ofSafetyProfessionals of Nigeria)
- Ability to influence situations without direct control of resources.
- Good understanding of HQSE modalities and codes.
- Good understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards
- Good oral communication, influencing and relationship.
- Proficiency in Hausa language is a MUST
- Knowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment Engineering, Health andSafety.
- Must Possess Basic HSE CERTIFICATION, NEBOSH
