We are seeking a proactive and self-driven Field Support Officer to join our team. This role is critical in providing on-site and remote support to our merchants, ensuring the smooth operation of POS systems, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
Job Summary:
The Field Support Officer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing POS systems, providing technical support to merchants, and ensuring the efficient resolution of hardware and software issues. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate Lagos roadways efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Maintenance:
- Maintain and repair faulty POS systems at merchant locations.
- Provide both field and remote support to merchants to resolve technical issues.
- Install, configure, and train merchants on POS hardware and software functionality.
- Merchant Relationship Management:
- Visit merchant locations across Lagos and other regions to provide on-site support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of all complaints, issues, and resolutions related to POS systems.
- Submit weekly reports on merchants visited and support activities conducted.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure timely resolution of merchant issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Proactively identify and address potential challenges to improve service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent relationship management and emotional intelligence.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and navigate Lagos roadways efficiently.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to take initiative.
