Description
- The Data Preparation and Entry Specialist is responsible for gathering, organizing, and accurately entering data into our systems.
- This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of our data, supporting the corporate services department in achieving their operational goals.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to data management
Key Accountabilties
- Data Preparation: Collect, organize, and prepare historical and current data from multiple sources for entry.
- Data Entry: Accurately input data into databases, spreadsheets, and other systems following company standards.
- Data Verification: Review and verify data for accuracy and consistency, identifying and correcting any errors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to understand their data needs and provide support.
- Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports as needed to understand the organizations current and historical data profile
- Database Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases, performing routine data cleaning and validation tasks.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data entry procedures and processes. Ensure all records are kept up to date and easily accessible.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or Business / Finance-related discipline
- Experience: Proven experience in data entry or a similar role. Experience with data management systems and databases is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and precision in data handling.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
