Customer Marketing Director – West and Central Africa

It is the only company that does Total Beverage Alcohol (TBA) in Nigeria. It’s an on trade dominated market but with a fast growing off trade channel.

Purpose of Role

  • The Customer Marketing Director role is responsible for building and shaping our customer marketing strategies informed by consumer insights, through excellent planning and execution of Consumer and Customer activities at the Point of Purchase in service of transforming and accelerating the growth of Diageo’s international spirits in West and Central Africa.

Top Accountabilities

  • Develop a Customer Marketing strategy and ensure outstanding implementation of activities.
  • Develop, Manage, and ensure consistent delivery of all BTL Activities, Channel development and other Trade Programs
  • Develop a deep understanding (self & team) of consumer insights and play a pivotal role in developing customer insights that will unlock activity success.
  • Heavy focus on A&P effectiveness through M&E in activities
  • Ensures plans are in place to drive an inclusive culture and engaged workforce within Customer marketing.
  • Build and coach diverse teams and inspire the business to continue to be better to deliver high performance.

Qualifications, Experience, and Leadership

  • 7+ years of sales & marketing experience, including CPG and Drinks Joint business planning and category experience.
  • Significant project management experience
  • Experienced working with Category Management tools and techniques
