Job Summary:
Wema Bank Plc is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Relationship Management Officer to join our team in Enugu. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, driving sales opportunities, and promoting our commercial and retail banking products. You will play a key role in acquiring new customers, growing business volumes, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering innovative financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management: Execute branch commercial sales strategies tailored to local market conditions to achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Acquisition: Focus on driving customer acquisition and growing business volumes by opening various types of accounts.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors and market trends to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products and services to effectively cross-sell and upsell to customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and retail customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Feedback and Collaboration: Provide feedback to the sales team and product management on market trends, customer needs, and product development opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline. Additional qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Certification: CIBN certification is required.
  • Experience: 2 to 8 years of cognate experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service orientation.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Digitally savvy with proficiency in using digital tools and platforms.
    • Ability to work well in a team and lead effectively.
