Job Summary:
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cashier to join our finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, issuing receipts, reconciling customer accounts, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process incoming payments through internet banking platforms.
- Provide support during customer account reconciliation processes.
- Process cheque payments for container deposit refunds.
- Issue receipts to customers upon confirmation of payments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to confirm and track received payments.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with web-based platforms and email programs.
- Excellent math and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
