About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Abuja. The Finance Manager will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role involves monitoring financial reports, providing financial insights, and ensuring strong oversight of internal control systems to drive the hotel’s financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Ensure adherence to financial reporting requirements and internal policies.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and trends.
  • Capital Budgeting & Investment Analysis:
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital projects to ensure optimal returns.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed investments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the hotel’s assets and operations.
    • Implement robust internal control systems to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Cost Management & Control:
    • Monitor and control costs to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
    • Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Financial Governance & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
    • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Financial Systems & Technology Management:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools.
    • Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects:
    • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as required by the CFO.
    • Provide strategic financial input for business initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
