Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Manager to manage, nurture, and expand our thriving community of women in tech across Africa. In this role, you will drive engagement, foster meaningful connections, and empower a diverse network of aspiring and professional women developers, engineers, and tech leaders through innovative programs and collaborative initiatives.
As the Community Manager, you will champion our mission to bridge the gender gap in technology by curating impactful events, managing local chapters, and amplifying partnerships with global tech organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Drive engagement through online and offline initiatives, including forums, social media, and events.
- Foster meaningful connections among members to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Program Development & Management:
- Design and implement programs that support the technical and professional growth of women in tech.
- Organize and manage local chapters, ensuring alignment with She Code Africa’s mission and goals.
- Curate and execute impactful events, workshops, and training sessions to empower community members.
- Partnerships & Advocacy:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with global tech organizations to amplify opportunities for community members.
- Advocate for gender diversity in tech by representing She Code Africa at industry events and conferences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create opportunities for mentorship, internships, and career advancement.
- Content & Communication:
- Create and share content that inspires, educates, and engages the community.
- Manage communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and community platforms.
- Highlight success stories and achievements of community members to inspire others.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in community management, program development, or a related field.
- Strong passion for empowering women in technology and bridging the gender gap in STEM.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in event planning, partnership development, and content creation is a plus.
Salary:
N250,000 – N300,000 / month.
