Job Summary
The Workshop Receptionist Officer is responsible for managing the intake and admission of trucks to the workshop, maintaining records of all repair activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of workshop functions. This role involves coordinating with workshop supervisors, analyzing reports, tracking repairs, and maintaining an accurate inventory of spare parts. The officer will also be responsible for reporting to the management, evaluating repair costs, and ensuring the efficient scheduling of tasks..
Job Responsibilities
- Analyzing daily workshop report activities to the management
- Maintaining an adequate status for each truck as per repair category
- Taking the fault report and inventory of trucks
- Evaluation of cost of repair and determining the actual spare needed to carry out repairs
- Preparing service schedule to workshop supervisors
- Preparing daily job schedule to workshop supervisors
- Preparing monthly and quarterly workshop report to the management
- Ensuring proper admission of trucks and record keeping of all repair activities in works
Requirements
Education
- B.Sc in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience of physically handling or supervising the repairs/buildup of Articulated Trucks & Trailers.
Skills
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Experience in automobile quality inspections is desirable
- Exposure to SAP and Advanced MS Office will be an added advantage
- Strong technical integrity, problem-solving and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in using office software and workshop management tools
- Attention to detail with the ability to track and report repair activities accurately
