We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Supervising employees and activities of the department.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Managing inventories/warehouses and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets and cost analysis
- Writing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Expect unfavourable events through the analysis of data and prepare control strategies
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs
- Any other official assignment that may be assigned
Requirements
- HND / BSc in any discipline with a minimum of 6 years of work experience in a Procurement role, preferably in the Telecoms Industry.
