Job Title: Data Preparation & Entry Specialist

Description

  • The Data Preparation and Entry Specialist is responsible for gathering, organizing, and accurately entering data into our systems.
  • This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of our data, supporting the corporate services department in achieving their operational goals.
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to data management

Key Accountabilties

  • Data Preparation: Collect, organize, and prepare historical and current data from multiple sources for entry.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input data into databases, spreadsheets, and other systems following company standards.
  • Data Verification: Review and verify data for accuracy and consistency, identifying and correcting any errors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to understand their data needs and provide support.
  • Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports as needed to understand the organizations current and historical data profile
  • Database Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases, performing routine data cleaning and validation tasks.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data entry procedures and processes. Ensure all records are kept up to date and easily accessible.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or Business / Finance-related discipline
  • Experience: Proven experience in data entry or a similar role. Experience with data management systems and databases is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and precision in data handling.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
