Customer Service Representative at a Technology Company

Sensetime Technologies Limited is a Nigerian incorporated entity that aims to provide payment infrastructure for merchants and payment service providers in Nigeria. Our technology infrastructure would enable Nigerian businesses receive money from customers that want to pay for goods & services digitally.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing excellent customer support by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • The role involves direct interaction with customers through various channels such as phone, email, chat, or in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently.
  • Provide information about products and services.
  • Follow up on customer interactions to ensure resolution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues.
  • Achieve customer service targets and metrics.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve service skills.
  • Process orders, forms, applications, and requests.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information.
  • Handle returns and exchanges.

Requirements
Education:

  • HND
  • B.Sc.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with difficult customers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software and CRM tools.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role (preferred).
  • Experience with handling customer inquiries through various channels (phone, email, chat).

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Multilingual skills (a plus in certain regions or companies).

Remuneration

  • Salary: N150,000 – N350,000 Monthly (Competitive salary, varies based on location and company).
